AI photo editing: 12 edits from one photograph
Twelve edits an AI photo editor makes in one pass each — background, sky, objects, colour, restoration — with the instruction that works.

An AI photo editor is not a filter stack. You upload a picture, brush over the part you want changed, write what should be there, and only the marked area is rebuilt — the rest of the frame is untouched, pixel for pixel. That one mechanic covers most of what people open an editor for.
Twelve edits, one pass each
| Edit | Mark | Write |
|---|---|---|
| Remove the background | The background | plain white seamless backdrop, soft even light |
| Replace a dull sky | The sky | dramatic sunset sky, warm light on the clouds |
| Delete an object | The object and a small margin | remove, fill with the wall behind |
| Delete a person from the background | The person | remove, continue the pavement and railing |
| Change a colour | The item | make the jacket dark green, keep the fabric texture |
| Add an object | The empty space | a potted fern in the corner, matching the room light |
| Fix a blown-out window | The window | soft daylight through the glass, visible garden outside |
| Repair a scratched print | The damage | repair the crack, restore the missing grain |
| Move the product into a scene | Everything but the product | a pale stone shelf, window light from the left |
| Open up a cramped crop | The empty new area | continue the scene naturally |
| Clean a product shot | Reflections, cables, stickers | remove, keep the surface finish |
| Restyle the whole picture | Nothing — pick a style | the style becomes the instruction |
Three habits that make the difference
Mark a small margin beyond the object, not a tight outline — the model needs a little of the surroundings to know what to continue. Describe the result, not the action: "a clear blue sky" works, "make it better" does not. And mark several areas in one pass when you have several changes; that is one run instead of three.
When to generate instead of edit
If more than about half the frame is changing, or the subject does not exist in any photo you have, editing is the long way round — generate from a sentence instead. And if the photo is right but the look is wrong, that is a restyle rather than an edit.
Every job on this list runs from the same screen: upload a photo on the home page, brush, describe, one credit. The step-by-step versions live under edit styles, and the sentence patterns that make an instruction land are in the prompt guide.
