How an AI image generator turns text into a picture
What actually happens between the sentence you type and the image that comes back.

An AI image generator reads your prompt as a description, not as a command. It has learned which arrangements of pixels tend to go with which words, and it builds a new picture that matches the description you gave. Nothing is retrieved from a library and nothing is pasted together from existing photos: every result is generated from scratch, which is why the same prompt run twice gives you two different images.
Why a vague prompt gives a generic picture
That single fact explains almost every practical rule that follows. A vague prompt leaves most of the picture to the model, so it fills the gaps with whatever is statistically ordinary. A concrete prompt leaves fewer gaps, so more of the result is your decision. "A dog" describes millions of possible pictures; "a wet golden retriever shaking off water on a wooden pier, late afternoon light" describes far fewer, and the ones it describes are much closer to what you had in mind.
The model has no memory between runs and no idea what you meant last time. Each generation starts from noise and is steered by your words alone, which is why "make it warmer" only works as a full sentence: "the same scene at sunset, warm orange light".
What the style picker actually does
The style you pick is part of the prompt too. Selecting a style adds a fixed opening phrase to the front of your text before the request leaves our server, which is why the same sentence looks completely different in Photorealistic and in Watercolour. The generator screen shows you that exact phrase underneath the prompt box, so you can always see what is being sent. Nothing is hidden: same model, same credit, different opening sentence.

Once that split is clear, improving results stops being guesswork. If something in the second column keeps coming out wrong, the fix is to move it into the first: describe it. The five parts of a prompt are the checklist for doing that, and pricing is the whole cost story — one credit, one image, whichever style you pick.
